The war for Macha has been spilling blood across the snow for two years. The blood of both races has brought the bryax to feast. Saberteeth and bears attack either army at will, and the wolves bring down the caribou. The winter still goes on, as does the war.
The Huan Na are advancing, slowly but surely, towards the sidhe and everything the Machan hold dearest. It is time to begin the offensive. A meeting of the septs has been called. All septs have traveled to a single frozen plain, called Morrigan's Heart, for the constant blizzards that will keep the Huan Na at bay. For now.
Lucas pulled himself into the tent he had been given. He and his two fellow Chosen of Morrigan lived here, as long as the septs were meeting. His own sept, the Wolf-Claw, was still gathering with the others. He had left, and as a Morrigan, no one had challenged him. Right now, he felt the chill of Macha seeping into his young bones. Not for the first time. The aching cold felt like a bryax was gnawing at his bones. Wrapping his wolf-pelt cloak around him, he still felt like he was frozen. Teeth chattering, he pulled several pieces of wood from inside the tent and added them to the dying fire.
As the wood splintered and crackled with the flame, Lucas thought of what the septs would decide. It was this meeting which would tell if the Machan actually do something other than defend their ancestral homes. They would attack the Huan Na, as this enemy called themselves. Lucas hoped that the shamans would hear from the ancestor spirits, and be given the answer that action was the correct course. After all, the shamans had a very powerful role, similar to those of the Chosen. They were the healers, the spiritualists, and the lore-keepers of their septs, and hopefully they could all agree, with all their wisdom, that attacking was better than merely defending.
Welcoming the war-mongering thoughts, he stared into the fire, watching the flames dance across the now-burning logs. Outside, the wind started howling, signaling another blizzard to come. The faint jingling of bells reached him, and he grinned fiercely. The bells, attached to the reindeer to make them easier to track, signaled that the reindeer were moving, presumably closer together to create more warmth. Wrapping himself more tightly in his cloak, Lucas continued to stare at the fire, hoping that war would declared.

I waked up, i couldn't see anything or feel any part of my body... It was so cold! Hardly and slowly, i standed. I looked at myself. I was wearing an broken armor, withouth some pieces. At the ground i found my blade broken in half. I could barely move because of the cold. I looked around and i couldn't see anyone or anything. Knowing i wouldn't be able to go around looking for someone, food or a place to rest, I lyed down into the ground, pushing some snow on me to make an cover, I fell asleep again, hoping someone would find me.
